Individual Psychology Therapy

Psychotherapy seeks to improve your mental health and well-being, resolve behaviours, beliefs, compulsions, thoughts and emotions, as well as to improve your relationships. We use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to reduce “maladaptive cognitions”, which are misleading beliefs about the world, self, and future that impair your ability to deal with problems in your daily life. In changing these beliefs, CBT therapy addresses the emotional distress and hurtful cognitive behaviours that can arise from them.

Sex Therapy

Part of traditional psychotherapy, sex therapy helps you talk about sex in a safe, open space about your sexual health individually or with your partner. Often, couples have difficulty in solving their sex problems on their own because of emotions getting in the way of an open, healthy dialogue. Nothing is off-limits. We’re open minded and we won’t judge you or your partner. We’re here to listen. We’re here to help.

Couples & Marriage Counselling

Couples counselling or marriage therapy is a form of psychotherapy designed to improve your relationship and resolve interpersonal conflict. We have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the most clinically validated model for couples counselling. Many studies have found that EFT is an effective way to restructure distressed couple relationships into safe and secure bonds with long-lasting results.

Family Therapy & Legal Interventions

Family therapy or family counselling is part of psychotherapy that works with families and couples to nurture change and development. We work closely with families when they are going through significant challenges like divorce, marital discord, co-parenting discord, sibling conflict, or conflict between a parent and child.

Legal interventions allow us to join an ongoing litigation, often at the discretion of the court. We can assist in mediation of family and divorce conflict so that we can effectively work with co-parents in agreeing on parenting plans, communication protocols, and ways to effectively parent or collaboratively co-parent together.

Weight Management Counselling

Weight loss therapy or counselling is a form of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), which can help you increase awareness to, and eventually change, the negative thoughts that often drive the “unhealthy” behaviours. We can also help you get to the core of the problem, as your relationship with food may be a symptom of a deeper issue. We address the underlying behaviours that lead to weight gain and overeating. We address the root psychological cause of unhealthy eating and unhealthy behaviours. We do this using scientific models of psychology to help you lose weight and keep it off.
